It's part of a new $6.6 billion investment in America's submarine industrial base.Arsenal-2 is purpose-built to break long-standing industrial bottlenecks and scale production of critical components for the Navy's Virginia-class attack submarines to support fleet requirements. At the same time, it will build the industrial muscle to field our next-generation AUVs at scale.We aren't waiting for the new shipyard to be completed. The work on this transformation starts right now, with development inside our new 160,000 square foot Proto-Factory in Orange County, California, where the team is already laying the foundation. As the prototyping hub for Arsenal-2, this facility gives us a multi-year head start, proving out the advanced manufacturing methods, digital workflows, and quality systems that will scale across our broader shipyard network.In Anduril's Maritime Division, we are actively building America's next decisive advantage at sea—and this is the moment to join us.ABOUT THE JOBYou will own requirements, interfaces, and the verification plan for a maritime autonomous vehicle, and run the campaign that takes it from separate subsystem deliveries to a vehicle that works in the water. You will lead the SEIT function and direct the MBSE systems engineer supporting it.Subsystem teams across structures, energy, propulsion, communications, and vehicle management are designing in parallel against interfaces that do not fully exist yet. This role writes those interfaces down, holds teams to them, and decides what gets tested in what order to retire the most risk per dive. WHAT YOU'LL DOOwn the vehicle requirements baseline, from program requirements down to subsystem specificationsOwn interface management: ICDs, interface control, and change control across subsystemsDefine and own the verification and validation plan, including the requirements verification matrixPlan and run the integration and test campaign: bench, SITL, HITL, dockside, and at-seaOwn vehicle technical budgets: mass, volume, power, energy, and buoyancyChair design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR) and drive actions to closureLead test readiness and anomaly resolution during at-sea testingDirect the MBSE systems engineer and set how the system model is used on the programTravel up to 25% to test sites and operational locationsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent8+ years in systems engineering on complex hardware and software vehicles, including at least 2 years leading integration and testExperience owning requirements and interface baselines across multiple subsystem teamsExperience planning and executing verification campaigns on physical hardwareAbility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearancePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience with AUV, UUV, submarine, spacecraft, or aircraft integration and testExperience with MBSE and SysML, either owning a system model or consuming oneExperience leading at-sea or remote field test campaignsExperience on a program where the requirements baseline did not exist yetExperience in defense or maritime roboticsUS Salary Range$191,000—$253,000 USDThe salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
