Position: Manufacturing Maintenance Technician / Millwright

Location: Tacoma, WA

Job Type: Full-Time | Onsite

Pay: $22–$35 per hour, depending on experience

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Maintenance Technician / Millwright to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery and production equipment. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical skills and experience with preventive maintenance, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and industrial equipment repairs.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial machinery to minimize downtime.
\n
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems, including motors, pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, and bearings.
\n
• Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems and replace defective components.
\n
• Install, assemble, align, and modify industrial machinery and equipment.
\n
• Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
\n
• Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and precision measuring instruments for repairs and fabrication.
\n
• Perform basic electrical troubleshooting when qualified.
\n
• Document maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
\n
• Collaborate with production teams to improve equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
\n
• Follow safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
\n

Required Qualifications

\n
• High school diploma or GED.
\n
• Hands-on experience in industrial maintenance, millwright work, or manufacturing equipment repair.
\n
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
\n
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, mechanical assemblies, and equipment alignment.
\n
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and equipment manuals.
\n
• Experience using industrial maintenance tools and equipment.
\n
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.
\n

Preferred Qualifications

\n
• Technical training, apprenticeship, or millwright certification.
\n
• Experience with welding, fabrication, rigging, or machinery installation.
\n
• Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
\n
• Electrical troubleshooting experience involving industrial motors and 110V, 240V, or 480V systems.
\n
• Experience in foundry, metalworking, or heavy manufacturing environments.
\n
• Forklift, crane, or aerial lift certification.
\n
